Does an air conditioner unit need to be vented outside?

Absolutely. Otherwise, it’s counterproductive to run an AC without properly venting out all the trapped moisture and warm air. Venting your AC means your system won’t overheat, the risk here being that an unvented AC would circulate warm air and not cool your home. If you’ve a windowless air conditioner, look for an exhaust pipe or hose as this helps to pull out any warmth or moisture.

How long do air conditioners last?

With proper maintenance and regular checkups, your trusty air conditioning unit can last an average of 15-20 years!

However, if you notice your air con is simply no longer working, little air is coming out of the vents, or it’s only warm air circulating, it might be time to consider repairing completely or replacing your old unit.
